All brains, no brawn? Not Christian. In addition programming Simphony, BYU's opensource photonic circuits simulator, Christian is an avid runner. He's been running since he was little and despite his preference for Python, he is by far the fastest member of the Camacho Lab.

In February of this year, CamachoLab members had the opportunity to go to the Center for Quantum Networks 2023 Winter Retreat. This event was held at Biosphere 2, a research facility containing the world's largest closed ecological system.

Simphony is Downloaded 4000 Times in October

Simphony—a simulator for photonic circuits developed by CamachoLab—reached 4000 downloads in the month of October. This number was reached in part by Simphony now being listed as a dependency for GDS Factory. Main contributors to Simphony include Sequoia Ploeg, Christian Carver, Skandan Chandrasekar, and Austin Probst. The repository for Simphony can be found on the CamachoLab GitHub.
