CamachoLab attends QNumerics Summer School

Members of CamachoLab attended the Numerical Methods in Quantum Information Science Summer School (QNumerics) at The University of Massachusetts Amherst from August 12th to 18th.

During the six day event, students utilized the programming language Julia for Quantum Information Science and collaborated on challenges and projects with other researchers. They participated in daily classes and presentations on topics ranging from high performance computing to quantum topography to error mitigation.

Two students, Chandler and Christian, gave a presentation on Simphony, an open source quantum photonics simulation tool developed by CamachoLab. They discussed its capability to utilize classical descriptions of photonic circuits to simulate quantum gaussian states with high speed and precision.
