Biking in the desert for 110 miles over 2 hours is not the for the faint of heart. Josh, in addition to doing research for the Camacho Lab, is an avid adventurer. Whether it's Rock climbing, hiking, and biking, he loves the outdoors. One of his most recent accomplishments was riding 110 miles over a 25-hour period in Frog hollow.
Starting on the JEM Trail, Josh followed the route as it wound along the Hurricane Rim, offering sweeping views of the desert landscape.

The long ride burned an enormous amount of energy, so along the way he powered himself with eight peanut-butter sandwiches and an entire jar of pickles! After riding through the day, Josh rested right on the trail, sleeping under the stars and waking to a beautiful sunrise.

Crossing the finish line marked a new personal record for Josh, the longest bike ride he’s ever completed.
