Research Project: 3D Printed Microresonators
Location: EB B119
About
Parker Awerkamp is a graduate student in BYU's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering. He joined CamachoLab in April 2019.
Research
Parker's research is focused on using 3D printing in optics. He is currently working on creating 3D printed microresonators that will provide the first building block toward replacing traditional photonic circuit fabrication techniques with 3D printing.
As an undergraduate, he worked on Dr. Smalley's research team as the main developer of 3D printed free-space optical alignment cartridges used for holography.
