About

Parker Awerkamp is a graduate student in BYU's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering. He joined CamachoLab in April 2019.

Research

Parker is a 4th year PhD candidate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering with a research emphasis in optics. His research focuses on optical microdroplet resonators, research that has been enabled by complex, precision control systems and integrated hardware testbeds that I develop. He builds testbeds that integrate and automate motorized positioning stages, data collectors, fluid delivery, and environmental controls to stabilize the water droplets used in our experiments by controlling for evaporation and positioning them with submicron accuracy.

Parker's research can be found on Google Scholar.
