Ben and the Quantum Random Number Generator Team Excel in the IETC Conference

Congratulations to Ben Fisher and the quantum random number generator team for a second place paper in the technology category at the Intermountain Engineering, Technology, and Computing Conference
conference.

"God does not play dice with the universe" Einstein famously stated, rejecting the uncertain, random nature of quantum mechanics. To Einstein, it was absolutely absurd that anything in the universe could be truly random. Well at least in this one statement, Einstein was wrong. True randomness is possible.

Random number generation is an important field in computer science, however, numbers generated through conventional algorithms are not truly random: they are predictable, and therefore exploitable.

The QRNG team at Brigham Young University have utilized quantum mechanics to generate their own truly random, unpredictable, unexploitable randomly generated numbers.
